Launch event

The Clifton House provided a poignant setting for the official launch of the Nasz Dom Belfast project. The event brought together members of the Polish community, local representatives, and heritage partners to celebrate the beginning of this important initiative.

The evening featured speeches from the Polish Consul General, Grzegorz Sala, the Honorary Consul, Jerome Mullen, and Jim McGreevy - representative from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The introduction to the Project was delivered by Project Coordinator Kasia Garbal, who shared a personal reflection on 21 years of calling Belfast home and the vital need to preserve our shared migration stories.

Guests enjoyed vibrant performances by the Na Ludowo Folk Band, and the project’s dedicated volunteers began their work, collecting the first stories for the project's living archive.

The Nasz Dom team extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to a truly memorable start to this year-long journey of discovery and connection.
